The alarm monitoring capability of Enetics RTUs allow high and low detection thresholds to be configured over-the-air, which means you can experiment with thresholds from your office and dial in each site as required. And because alarm events trigger immediate cellular notifications, regardless of the programmed periodic data call-in schedule, as soon as there's a problem, you'll know about it. .
Alarm Configurations
Every sensor measurement can be individually enabled for alarm monitoring. The high and low thresholds for each measurement are user defined and can be adjusted over-the-air, removing the need to visit the site for configuration changes. Alarm parameter configurations are passed to the RTU during every scheduled cellular communication, so any configuration changes you make will be implemented immediately following the next cellular call in to the EneticsEDGE cloud servers. .
Alarm Vetting
No one wants a false alarm. When an alarm condition is first detected, the RTU begins checking once every minute to see if the alarm condition still exists. After a user configurable number of contiguous samples in alarm, the RTU confirms the alarm is real and immediately calls EneticsEDGE cloud servers to report the details of the alarm. This way, you'll never see false positive alarms come in from the field, so no resources are wasted.
Alarm Notifications
As soon as the alarm is processed by EneticsEDGE, notifications can be sent via email and/or SMS text message to designated individuals. These can be recurring notifications, so the alarm stays fresh in everyone's mind, or a single notification can be sent at the start of the alarm, so that inboxes aren't filled up. Different measurements alarms can be selected for different individuals, so that teams with different responsibilities can handle alarms of different types.
