CIRCULAR CHART REPLACEMENTS: There are thousands of circular charts still in use today and their shortcoming are well understood. The manpower required to collect paper charts and replace batteries is excessive and not at all efficient, the data obtained is subject to interpretation, requires human translation, and alarm conditions at the site may not be recognized for weeks.
The Enetics GasPoint RTU is an ideal solution. GasPoint can be operated in parallel with existing circular charts to add digitized data and alarming capabilities or operate as an ideal replacement for the chart approach. GasPoint is IP-67 packaged, connects to existing site feed lines using simple Swagelok fittings and has a five year battery life.
Highly accurate internal pressure and temperature data are digitized, recorded in non-volatile flash memory and periodically transmitted to secure cloud-based data servers using encrypted cellular telemetry. SLAM SHUT VALVES: Most utilities need to maintain a routine inspection schedule of their slam shut valves to determine if there has been activation or not. The complexity of network design may not allow simple pressure monitoring at the SCADA points to reveal that a slam shut valve has triggered. And unfortunately, most slam shut valves are not monitored by SCADA at all.
To alleviate the need for these routine site inspections, not to mention the risk of being unsure of total system load capacity at any given time, Enetics has introduced the GasTrack RTU, which can monitor two pressure channels and the state of a slam shut valve without any power drops or radio network installations. GasTrack is IP-67 packaged and has a five year battery lifetime. In addition to monitoring two pressure/temperature channels, the RTU continuously monitors the slam shut valve position (or any contact closure event) . In the event of a change in valve position, or a pressure or temperature alarm condition, an immediate cellular alarm call is placed, notifying the user of time and location of the event via dashboard updates, emails and SMS text messages, allowing fast and efficient personnel deployment.

SCADA INTERFACE: Ready to connect Enetics sensors up to your existing SCADA system? The GasComm Control Module (GCM) will integrate multiple GasComm Sensor Arrays or Static Pressure Sensors into your SCADA network, giving you more insight into your network. The GCM is polled by the on-site SCADA RTU using Modbus 485 protocols as fast as once every five seconds. The SCADA RTU then simply reads a Modbus register containing the requested sensor data and pulls it into the SCADA network. No SCADA penetration occurs, allowing existing SCADA security protocols to remain undisturbed.
