The GasPoint recording telemetry unit (RTU) is designed to provide secure and reliable wireless natural gas distribution network monitoring. Fast alarm notifications and accurate trend data assures full situational awareness of emerging distribution network issues.

Sensor Interface

GasPoint is provided with one or two  internally mounted static pressure sensors. These internal sensors can range from 1 PSI full scale to over 500 PSI full scale. Field interface is a common 1/4” swagelock bulkhead fitting. Internal pressure sensors are available in either high accuracy ATEX intrinsically certified versions or relaxed accuracy, non-certified versions. This solution provides users with a wide range of monitoring options. GasPoint provides an optimal, unattended solution for replacement of circular chart recorders, rendering chart translations obsolete.

Wireless Communications / Five Year Battery Life

The GasPoint RTU utilizes fast- emerging narrowband LTE/M1 cellular network technology to provide secure and reliable data telemetry coupled with up to a five year battery life. Simple to install, GasPoint eliminates the  need for site maintenance and data collection visits, freeing your team to address more pressing issues.

Collecting Data

User defined attributes can be sampled at intervals as short as once per minute with interval averaging as short as five minutes. Recorded data is transmitted on your desired call schedule, typically once every day, to the Enetics Tier 4 cloud server. All data telemetry is securely encrypted using AES 128 security standards. Readings that exceed user-defined alarm thresholds are identified on-site during sampling and notifications are sent out immediately, regardless of the programmed cellular call-in schedule, allowing personnel and control room notifications to approach real time.

Data Analytics

The EneticsEdge™ User Interface software provides secure access to collected field data from the control room, the office, or remote on-site locations using common apps. Fielded recorders are monitored with GIS mapping methods and configurable analytic dashboards. Alarm status, site groupings, trends, statistics, call-in histories, multiple audit trails, and battery status. Individual or group unit configurations are easily viewed or updated over the air, eliminating repeated site visits. The EneticsEdge analytic software is included with the GasPoint recorder.

Packaging

The GasPoint RTU, cellular modem, antenna, and battery are integrated into a small NEMA 6/IP67 polycarbonate enclosure weighing less than two pounds. Provisions for mounting and locking are included. External cellular antennas are available.
